MISSION STATEMENT


The purpose of this Association shall be as follows:

(a) Engage in activities which promote the professional interest and advancement of attorneys engaged in creditors’ rights law;

(b) Promote the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct among those involved in various aspects of transactions involving creditors’ rights law;

(c) Facilitate and improve the administration of justice; and

(d) Promote legislation which is beneficial and germane to the practice of law involving creditors’ rights law.

HISTORY


Founded in 1995, the Illinois Creditors Bar Association (ILCBA) is a statewide organization for attorneys practicing in the area of creditors rights. Our members concentrate in various areas including: commercial collections, consumer collections, foreclosures, evictions, subrogation and bankruptcy. With over 200 members, the ILCBA is the largest organization of its kind in the country.

In 2007, the ILCBA became an accredited CLE provider and hosts a number of seminars each year that offer attorneys CLE hours.
